So, this is my submission for #artnouveau 's current contest. The theme this time was to "Choose a song and turn it into a visual Art Nouveau work."

For this piece, I was inspired by Florence + The Machine's song, "Seven Devils" The first time I listened to the song, this image just came into my brain. For me, this is a really emotionally powerful song that is simultaneously aggressive and sad. I worked really hard to try and get my art to reflect it. To that end, I used gladiolas as the flower since they're said to represent strength of character, definitely an important element to this song!

All the linework was done traditionally with pen and ink, color was added through the magic of computers...
