Glinda the Good

So, here's part two for the most recent contest hosted by . This is my volunteered portrait commission for the second place winner: with-  The Snow Queen. Requested was a portrait done in the style of Alphonse Mucha's Blonde or Brunette pieces- subject- the Good Witch Glinda from the Wizard of Oz. Loving these stories as a child, I opted to draw from the original illustrations a little more than the movie version. In the books, she's got long red hair, blue eyes, and often depicted in a white dress. The most powerful Sorceress of Oz, Glinda's been around for quite a while, and is very wise.
